The Summer Games Fest revealed a variety of exciting games! Gearbox‘s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, featuring the popular Borderlands character in a non-Borderlands game, was the first to be revealed!
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands blends the world of Borderlands with an over the top fantasy realm. She is in charge and can change the world and its rules on the fly; as she guides players through a ludicrous adventure.
High Fantasy Insanity
The game will allow players to create their own multi-class heroes, using a deadly combination of classic fantasy weapons with Borderlands-like weapons. Players will be working together to raid dungeons and battle monsters in this looter shooter adventure!
“Wonderlands is a culmination of over a decade of on-and-off development at Gearbox Software towards a role-playing shooter set in a fantasy universe… For me, bringing actual Borderlands guns to fight dragons, skeletons, goblins, and more in an original fantasy world imagined by the galaxy’s deadliest 13-year-old, Tiny Tina, as a new, full-featured triple-A video game is a dream come true.”
Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Entertainment
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands features a cast of amazing actors to help deliver the experience. Ashly Burch returns to voice the headline character, alongside her royal highness, Butt Stallion. Andy Samberg, Will Arnett and Wanda Skyes will lend their voices to the game as well!
Ashly Burch confirmed that it would not connect to Borderlands directly. Tiny Tina’s own wild story will be taking place in a separate universe of sorts; having the complete freedom to do what it wants!
