Hello all and welcome to the Weekly News Roundup. A not so familiar face, or author should I say, for this weeks piece. Unlike Grunt, I’m not gonna tell you to grab a cup of tea or coffee and get comfy, oh no. Slouch into your chair, drink some soda and get ready to party, because here is a roundup of the fun from the past week.
Weekly Specials
For most weeks, you’ll find that Informed Pixel has an Weekly News Roundup, Indie Highlight, Game Recommendation and Highlight Of The Week. Some weeks might not have all three. This was indeed one of those weeks, as sadly an Indie Highlight did not appear. Not to worry though, as the other two weekly pieces showed up in full force.
Halo, It’s Finished
To those who are Halo fans, it’s been a great week indeed. We started off the week at Informed Pixel with the Game Recommendation, which is a controversial pick for Halo fans. Halo 5 was the chosen game, but after reading the piece here, you might be persuaded to love it.
No, I Think We’re Just Getting Started.
The next weekly piece is of course the Highlight Of The Week piece, and if you hadn’t guessed, it’s Halo themed. Unlike the Game Recommendation talking about the latest Halo game, the Highlight Of The Week talks about the first Halo game.

A Quick Review
That’s right, the review section of this article is nice and quick. We only released one new review on the site this week and it’s for a game you might not expect. If you’re into rhythm games or Vocaloids, then the recent review for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X might be right up your street.
A Little Bit Of Halo By My Side
Excusing the awful subheading and my need to sing Mambo No.5, Halo news is in no shortage. This week we had some Halo pieces in the works, some may say too many, I’d say not enough.
There was a ton of Halo news and content revealed in the latest Halo Community Update, so we did our best to take the important bits and condense them into a nice easy to read article. From Halo Esports to Halo 5 playlists, this has it all.
Of course, the biggest news released this week was the release date for Halo 3. Don’t worry, you’ve not time travelled back 13 years, we’re talking about Halo 3 on PC. For the first time ever the full original trilogy will be available on PC. Check out the details here.
Surprise Reveals
Sometimes news is expected, sometimes it’s not. One thing that was certainly expected was that we’d be told the date of the upcoming Xbox first party event soon enough, but to our surprise, it arrived within the past week. To check out the exact details on when we’ll see Halo Infinite and more, be sure to read this one carefully.
Okay okay, so the above announcement might have be kind of expected, but this one certainly wasn’t. Like a Ninja getting the jump on us, a new Shadow Warrior game was announced. Shadow Warrior 3 certainly seems to hold the charm it’s known for, that is if the trailer and information is anything to go by.
Tetris. A simple word that can be said my gamers and non-gamers alike and we’ll all know what it is. This universally known gaming franchise has long cemented itself for being incredibly fun and infinitely popular, so it’s no surprise that they announced a brand new game recently.
Additional News For Additional Content
The subheading says it all, there’s some brand new content coming to some very popular games. Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle is one such game that’s getting a ton of additional content as part of a 5th anniversary celebration. There’s new characters, events and more, so be sure to check out all the info.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is getting a monster sized update. There’ll be summer events bringing all sorts of new elements to the game and new boss battles to keep you on your toes. You’ll want to be quick though, because there’s a limited time event that you won’t want to miss.
Trailer Time
When it comes to trailer releases, there is no shortage. The team over at Double Hit Games has graced us with a brand new video for their game Eternal Hope. This video goes into detail about the world Eternal Hope is based around. If you don’t want to watch the video, you can always read our breakdown.
Anime fans and fans of anime themed games are no strangers to watching videos. It should be no problem to watch the brand new story trailer for SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris then right? No? Well, if you’re not quite feeling up to watching the trailer, there’s some peaceful reading that can be done instead. We’re nice like that.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is no stranger to scares, so if you’re scared of their content, you might have little hope of watching their latest video. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope received a brand new trailer, and it’s nearly as scary as how bad that pun was.
