On May 5th 2020, Xbox announced the first of many upcoming events that will feature a first look at game-play for their upcoming console, the Xbox Series X. The demonstration livestreams are slated to start on May 7th, at 11AM EDT/8AM PDT.
The livestreams for the console will be held on Mixer, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch. You’ll be able to catch the demonstration whether you are at home or on the go. Xbox stated starting May 7th, they will be showing monthly episodes of Inside Xbox, showing what will be coming for the upcoming Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Studios, Game Pass, and their ambitious Project xCloud.
While also showing off their new toys to the public, they also gave us some insight about what will be coming in the future of 2020. They clear up that this first May livestream will focus on third party developers, but it’s the July livestream that’ll focus on the Xbox first party games, such as Halo Infinite.
They state that their goal remains to make sure that Halo: Infinite will be released to the public on time this holiday, and as of right now there are no expected delays for the title, and that available Xbox Game Studios acquired by Microsoft are also extremely hard at work on next-generation titles for the upcoming platform and Game Pass.
Revered development teams in the games industry around the world are also working extra hard to have their games ready for the Xbox Series X this holiday.
As for PC players, they do plan to support the community by making all major releases for the Xbox Series X available with Xbox Game Pass for PC. This will be including the upcoming titles; Halo: Infinite, Wasteland 3, Minecraft Dungeons, and the highly desired Microsoft flight Simulator. They also have new updates and titles lined up for Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox platforms and of course PC.
Microsoft will also be expanding Project xCloud into more countries around the world, as well as making it available on new devices. Following that, they plan merging Project xCloud and Game Pass services to enable more people to come together and play easier.
Xbox wanted to point out that they will also be giving us more insight for their Smart Delivery feature, also pointing out that the games they will be showing will also optimized for the new console, showing just what the hardware is capable of.
Live language support for the May livestream will be in English, LATAM Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German and Italian, and the episode will include live Audio Descriptions at /MixerAD.
