For the longest time, the name and appearance of the next gen Xbox console has been kept a secret. Expected to be revealed at E3 2020 was the appearance and name of the next line of Xbox consoles. In a shock twist, Xbox revealed these details at The Game Awards 2019 instead.
The brand new upcoming Xbox console is named the Xbox Series X. This suggests, like many rumours and speculation, that there will be a series of consoles next gen instead of just one. It’s possible that the console shown in the brand new reveal trailer is the supposed high end console, with the cheaper console option still being kept in the dark until a possible E3 2020 reveal.
The trailer is likely completely pre-rendered, but if it’s any indication on the quality that Xbox aim to deliver for next generation, it’ll no doubt be hard to top. With games like Forza and Halo showing up in the title to add to the hype, 2020 is no doubt a year to look forward to in gaming.
