Microsoft confirmed the new iteration of the Xbox One platform, the Xbox One S, at their E3 2016 Briefing earlier today.
Including being 40% smaller, featuring HDR gaming, and 4K video output, the new console will include a new design of the Xbox One controller, which has grippy rubber on the handles and Bluetooth — which we presume will allow it to connect to PC’s without the Xbox One Controller dongle for Windows and potentially mobile platforms to be used as a standard Bluetooth controller.
We previously reported on some leaked images of the console yesterday and there was some apprehension of their validity. It seems that they were entirely legitimate.
The Xbox One S starts at $299 and will launch this August.
