Zombies have taken on all kinds of other beings. They’ve battled plants, they’ve invaded the Wild West and now they’re back. Only this time, they’re going after their natural enemies– hackers.
Watch Dogs: Legion is the newest game to have zombies join the fray. While it may seem like an odd mixture, London was already the backdrop for the 28 Days/Weeks Later, so it has a history.
Titled Legion of the Dead, it’s mostly exactly what it sounds like. The new update (it goes live June 1st) will add a rogue-lite PvE mode where up to four people can see whether they are able to hack it.
Each round consists of the same goal– escape. Of course this is made more challenging by having to collect supplies while watching each other’s backs.
Unfortunately, it’s only available in Alpha at the moment. In other words, players can only access it on PC until further notice. It also means that there will be tweaks made before it does infect consoles.
Ubisoft also doesn’t plan to leave it at zombies. Watch Dogs: Legion has a roadmap planned out for future updates and expansions, though there is no word on them yet.
If you have a PC, you can get into the eternal battle between zombie and hacker today. Watch Dogs: Legion is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
