If you thought Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) wasn’t possible anymore because you and all your friends moved away and didn’t have the time, there is another option available to you! Some of the creators from Dragon Age: Inquisition are teaming up with Wizards of the Coast to bring an all new adventure called Sword Coast: Legends. This game will support highly customizable character options, 4 player co-op, and a all new Dungeon Master mode to create a custom experience for fans of the D&D universe both old and new!
Sword Coast: Legends is set in the Forgotten Realms universe using the lore and legends found from within the Dungeons and Dragons experience to keep each adventure unique and compelling. The game will feature the fifth edition rule set used in the core rule books that was released last August; keeping everyone who has played the paper and pen version coherent with how the game is run.
What makes Sword Coast: Legends a truly grandiose experience is that while it includes a 4-player co-op mode, players may also add an optional fifth person to become the Dungeon Master (DM). Like classic Dungeons and Dragons games, the Dungeon master will be responsible for creating a unique and refreshing experience for their players by strategically placing a variety of enemies, traps, scenery and more for the players to explore. While we don’t have all the information regarding this mode, we would expect to hear more from the announcements pending next week’s E3.
Sword Coast: Legends will launch via Steam for PC gamers on September 8th, 2015. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of the game won’t launch until after September but stay tuned for further announcements regarding the release of this title. I hope you guys are looking forward to it as much as I am; In the meantime, feel free to check out the official website for more information including how to pre-order the game.
