Originally supposed to release on August 15th, 2023, Wayfinder went through a small hiccup and had to delay its launch for a few days. Airship Syndicate worked tirelessly over the past few days and has set the early access launch date set for today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Steam!
For the uninitiated, Wayfinder is an online character-based action RPG developed by Airship Syndicate (the minds behind Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Darksiders Genesis, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story) and published by Digital Extremes (Warframe). In this game, you are a Wayfinder, a hero born of the Gloom, tasked with balancing the broken world of Evenor. At your disposal are unique arcane magics, mystical tech, and stunning melee weapons to take on the Gloom. Wayfinders can craft weapons, gear, and augments to customize how they want to play. Once suited up, party up with fellow Wayfinders to take on live events, dungeon delving, and more.
Want to kick back after obtaining some exquisite loot or maybe show off some trophies you found during your adventures? Well, Wayfinder will have housing so that you can customize your apartment to your heart’s content! Along with furniture and trophies to display, Artifacts will be another depth of customization for your playtime, as artefacts can give buffs for yourself or for your team. With that power, though, comes a cost, and each home will have a budget for the buffs you want active. There will also be neighbourhoods, boosting the social element of Wayfinder even further. Neighbourhoods and information on them will be available as development progresses.
Wayfinder will be in early access for around six months and will only be accessible through buying a founder pack. There are four different tiers, each with different perks, ranging from $19.99 USD to $149.99 ($20.99 CAD – $153.99 CAD).
