The Kickstarter campaign for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Castlevania spiritual successor by Koji Igarashi, has recently claimed the title of most funded game on Kickstarter.
Sitting at a hefty $4.3 million, it blew past its initial goal of $500,000 and soared past Torment: Tides of Numenera, which raised $4.1 million a couple years ago. There are still a few stretch goals that the campaign can reach as there is still 30 hours remaining as of writing this article. If you are excited for this game you should pledge before its too late!
In other news, Armature, the developers behind the game, have stated that once they have ported it to the Wii U they will be making the source code for use with the Unreal Engine 4 publically available to any authorized developers. This is huge news as the Unreal Engine 4 hasn’t officially been stated to be compatible with the Wii U.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has a release window of March 2017 and will launch for the Nintendo WiiU, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita and PC.
