Valve has announced that Underlord will be Dota 2‘s next playable hero.
Revealed during the Dota 2 International today, Underlord will be available, free of charge, to all players starting on August 23rd, 2016. Underlord is based on Pit Lord, who was a playable character in the Warcraft 3 mod Dota All-Stars.
With the addition of Underlord, every original hero from the popular Warcraft 3 mod Dota All-Stars has now been developed for the game’s sequel, Dota 2. There is currently no information whether or not this will be Dota 2’s last hero, or if Valve will continue developing new content for the game.
Dota 2 is currently available for the PC.
