Only several weeks after the Shanghai Major, yet another Dota 2 LAN has come upon us; the Dota Pit League Season 4. Following the many dramatic changes after the Shanghai Major, many teams have had roster shuffles, however only Team Empire seems to be the only team attending the LAN with a new roster being debuted. However it will be interesting to see how teams like Empire and Na’Vi will fare against higher tier teams that are attending the tournament such as Team Secret and Evil Geniuses. To add onto this there are no Chinese teams attending this LAN, maybe for the better considering the large amount of drama and scandals in the scene currently post Shanghai Major.
The Dota Pit League Season 4 will results in many confrontations between teams that have either not played against each other in a long time or have players who have been on many of the teams rosters before. For example Na’Vi will be playing against their former carry player who won TI1 and placed 2nd with the them at TI2 and TI3, Xboct. Xboct will be standing in for Silent for Team Virtus Pro at the tournament due to some health related problems involving Silent himself. However Virtus Pro has made it clear that their fanbase and others for that matter should not expect a roster change involving Silent being replaced by Xboct as shown through their twitter posts.
