Dynamight Studios, the team behind Fractured, are set to enter the Kickstarter MMO world at the beginning of June. Fractured is being pitted as an open-world sandbox MMORPG mixing action combat with fully interactive environments, appealing equally to lovers of competitive and cooperative gameplay. As a result of the impending Kickstarter launch, Dynamight Studios have released the conceptual Kickstarter packages for Fractured to their community for some preliminary discussion.
As with many gaming Kickstarter campaigns, the availability and array of packages is quite vast. Fractured is no different in this regard starting off with the typical “Hey, give us your 5€ and we’ll give you basically nothing” package, moving all the way up to the 10,000€ “You want to be King of your own planet? Ok” package. Note that all prices referenced are in Euro.
With hype slowly building around a very, very early title we are curious to see just how well the Kickstarter campaign pans out for a relatively new studio dipping their toes into the MMO genre. Attempting to break into the open-world sandbox MMORPG genre simply adds a few more layers of complexity to the entire ordeal.
While alpha is slated for later this year, you can check out some recent in game footage showing off the SpatialOS system and some basic gameplay from the April 20th gameplay video.
