Are you ready to suit up in the latest instalment of the Gundam Franchise? Brought to us by Bandai Namco Online Inc, Gundam Evolution is available now on PC in most regions. Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play 6v6 team-based first-person hero shooter. With the launch, we were also given an official trailer showing off the first 12 playable suits available in the game.
Each of the suits is equipped with different types of weaponry, ranging from melee weapons for the up close and personal type of fighters and a variety of sci-fi rifles and cannons. One of the suits, RX-75 Guntank, has you, pilot, a small fighter jet to chase and detonate on your enemies!
Along with RX-75 Guntank, there are more iconic suits in the starting roster, like the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, Zaku II with a melee suit and ranged suit, RX-0 Unicorn Gundam and ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos. More suits will also be coming to the game later down the line.
Along with slick weapons, each suit also has specific offensive and defensive abilities that only their suit can use. G-Manoeuvres are each suit’s “Ultimate Ability”, ranging from homing mines, a support cable that boosts an ally’s power and defences, and a massive Beam Magnum that pierces enemies. Make sure you and your allies aren’t lined up for that one! You can use these obliterating techniques in 3 different game modes: Domination, Point Capture and Destruction.
With every free-to-play game, there will inevitably be different types of currency you can use in-game. Capital Points(CP) are earned by playing the game, and EVO Coins are earned by swiping your credit card. These currencies are used to purchase new suits to use in-game and customizable items.
While the PC version is live now, the console version is not far behind. The game will release on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on November 30, 2022, for North America and on December 1, 2022, in Asia and Europe.
