Developer Studio PIXEL is partnering with Playism to bring popular independent title Kero Blaster to the Nintendo Switch. Originally released in 2015 for PC, then later for Playstation 4, the game received overwhelmingly positive feedback on both platforms. The game holds an 82 on Metacritic (at the time of this writing), which is welcomed with it’s addition to the Nintendo Switch.
Kero Blaster, a game staring a frog’s journey through business life, must fend off against mysterious creatures residing in his company, “Cat & Frog Inc.”. The game is designed to be a very challenging side-scroller, with creative Bosses, various traps, and challenging mechanics to keep the player on their toes. Each stage is complete with their own unique boss, so there is always something daunting at the end of every level.Â
Before players get close to that stage though, they’ll have to grow their frog friend through trial and error. Players start off with little health and a poor selection of weapons. Only through progressing and collecting money, can players increase their health and purchase stronger weaponry. The further players get, the stronger they will feel. Other characters will join the fray to assist and vary in character, such as the cat coworker, the cat president, and the office lady whom is an indeterminate species.
Kero Blaster is available on PC (via Steam), Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
