Another thing we like to do is Q&As with folks all across the gaming industry, from CEOs to Voice Actors. We’ve also done Q&As with VTubers before. In this Q&A, we’ll be talking to a Vtuber named Areios, the “Foxy” Vtuber of the Veisou Vtuber Group.
We had the opportunity to ask Areios a few questions, along with having a general chat and getting to know them better. You can find those questions below.
Question: What made you get into VTubing?
“Taking care of my mental health played a huge part in why I decided to transition from an IRLtuber into a Vtuber. I feel more relaxed and bubbly as my 2D self, there is a weight lifted off your shoulders when you don’t have to think about how you look constantly. I also find it more interactive, the way chat can interact with my model.”
Question: How did you create your look and brand?
“I went through a lot of looks before settling on my current. In fact, my first ever model was a bunny, just because I love them! It started off as more of a cute character but slowly developed into just being me. A little snarky, a little salty, sometimes a bit spicy. Of course, I had to include my son, (cat) Midnight.”
Question: What is one activity you’d like to do on stream that you haven’t done yet?
“I play a lot of Beat Saber off stream.. it’d be nutty to have a 3D model to stream Beatsaber with!“
Question: What VTubers would you like to collaborate with?
“I’m really shy so I’ve never put much thought into someone sharing their space with me in a collab. :,) “
Question: What inspires you in the VTuber community?
“How unbelievably creative the VT community as a whole is. “You think you’ve seen everything, but you haven’t.” That’s the VT community. I don’t know how everyone is so big brain, tbh, I’m jealous.“
Question: What is your favourite game?
“That’s always a tough question for me, it’s a toss up between a couple that have been close to my heart for a very long time. Majoras Mask, NieR: Gestalt and Dark Cloud. I’m so sorry! I can’t truly rank one above the others.“
Question: What is your VTuber career goal?
“Right now my only goal is to become more confident and take more risks.“
Question: What advice would you give to those wanting to become a Vtuber?
“Don’t spend all your money on a ‘top tier’ model/art pieces right away! Your first design will probably go through many, many redesigns before you really find the one you love.“
