Warcraft 3 released by Blizzard Entertainment in July 2002 is going to be receiving another patch. Only five years ago (March 25, 2011) Warcraft 3 received a patch and now on Tuesday March 15, 2016 the community will be seeing Patch 1.27.
A source for Gameranx found that the earliest reporting of this strange new patch can be traced as far back as early last January, but unfortunately for the North American media, this report went under the radar seeing as it was in Chinese and had to be machine translated.
Warcraft 3 is beloved by players old and new for featuring multiplayer mode that made allowance for players to fight and compete against others online. This installment of the Warcraft series is also responsible for introducing the Night Elves and Undead characters to the Warcraft universe. This game also features a story mode very similar to that of Star Craft (also made and produced by Blizzard Entertainment) in that the plot line is told through the 4 races.
With over 1 million copies sold within a month of release, Warcraft 3 won many awards and achieved a “Game of the Year” ranking from multiple sources as well as becoming a best seller and assisting in the popularization of Warcraft.
