In a similar vein to previous Nintendo titles such as Wii Sports, and most recently Nintendo Land for the Wii U, Nintendo announced 1-2-Switch at yesterday’s conference, a game focusing on the Joy-Con controllers, motion controls, and a multiplayer experience that, for perhaps the first time, does not rely on the screen, but rather player interactions.
Shockingly little is known about the exact nature of the minigames, or how many will be present, although we can see glimpses of many in the trailer, with a particular focus on an old west duel style minigame, not unlike Mario Party 2’s similar minigame. Also a first for Nintendo’s collection games like this, 1-2-Switch is not being bundled with the console, instead being priced at $49.99 USD.
1-2-Switch will be launching alongside the Nintendo Switch console on March 3rd.
