As of this February, Pokemon will be 20 years old and with that, Nintendo and Game Freak have announced that they will be distributing Legendary Pokemon for the year to come.
This will include all the Pokemon that have only been available once or twice in the past 20 years. Exclusive hardware will also be available for the celebration but we will cover those when the information becomes available. The Pokemon being released are in chronological order of their release, starting with #151 Mew. We will be going into depth on each Pokemon every month that they are released.
In order to get Mew, you will need to go to your local GameStop or EB Games in the US and Canada and ask the clerk for a serial number card with step-by-step instructions located on the back. This does not require a purchase. You will receive Mew from the delivery man at lv 100, with only one move: Pound and the ability Synchronize. Note: it appears to be that these code cards work for Pokemon X/Y as well as ORAS.
Check back next month to find out how, where, when and maybe even why you can receive a bunch or rare Pokemon for your collection.
