Following multiple rumors, Mojang has officially announced that Minecraft will be heading to the Wii U later this month.
Titled Minecraft: Wii U Edition, the game will include a variety of skin packs and will launch on December 17th, 2015 for $29.99. Features like off-TV gameplay have been included so fans of the game can enjoy the game, even when their TV is in use.
“With so many included add-on content packs, Minecraft: Wii U Edition brings an exciting collection of Minecraft content and experiences to Nintendo fans,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s President and COO. “Wii U players will have plenty of reasons to keep coming back to this iconic gaming experience.”
Last month, the game was spotted on the official European Ratings Board, PEGI with a supposed release date of November 12th, 2015. While the release date was false, the game is real, and is coming to the Nintendo WiiU on December 17th, 2015.
