Nintendo has released a retro looking trailer for the NES Classic Edition announced earlier last week.
This remake of what we knew as the Nintendo Entertainment System packs 30 of our favorite games from the late 80’s/early 90’s and bundles them into a mini-form factor, delivering a new but familiar feel. The tagline at the end of the trailer “Now you’re playing with power,” comes from the 1986 Nintendo Entertainment System advertisement which you can view here.
This system will retail for $59.99 USD ($79.99 CAD) while the controllers will retail separately for $9.99 USD ($12.99 CAD). The controller is also compatible with Virtual Console NES titles on the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo Wii U. By plugging them into the Wii Remote Controller, players will be able to get the same nostalgic feel, without the need of the NES console.
The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is expected to hit retail shelves on November 11th, 2016.
