Niantic Labs took two awards at The Game Awards this evening: Best Family Game & Best Mobile/Handheld Game.
Pokemon GO released earlier this year and was one of the fastest downloaded titles of all-time. Of course, It was hard to go through 2016 without seeing Pokemon GO mentioned in some way. Fans have been capturing Pokemon all over the world, and now, there is the rumor that the 2nd generation Pokemon will be joining the fray in the coming months.
Later on, Nintendo and Niantic Labs released the Pokemon GO Plus accessory, a tool that enables gamers to catch Pokemon without needing to operate their smartphone the whole time.
Pokemon GO is available for iOS and Android devices.
