Starting tomorrow, January 5th, 1999’s Pokemon Snap will be available for download through the Nintendo Wii U’s Virtual Console.
Nearly eighteen years ago, Nintendo and HAL Laboratory brought Pokemon to camera form in the shape of Pokemon Snap. Fans will soon be able to relive the nostalgic photography game on the Nintendo Wii U, by familiarizing yourselves with the weapons that were gas balls and apples.
The game has been available through the Nintendo Wii U Virtual Console in other countries for months now, with Japan getting theirs on April 4th, 2016 and Europe receiving it on August 18th, 2016.
Of course, if you don’t want to be bound to your console, and enjoy the “open-world” experience, you can always download Pokemon GO on mobile devices and continue playing that.
Pokemon Snap released on March 21st, 1999 for the Nintendo 64.
