EA’s confirmed that FIFA 18 will arrive on the Switch, extrapolating from their announcement during the Nintendo Switch reveal in January.
After the announcement of FIFA on the Switch, many speculated that it would just be kind of a standalone thing, a spin-off if you will. Fortunately though, for those looking forward to FIFA 18 and the continuation of the revamped The Journey story mode present in the last game, EA’s Peter Moore has confirmed in an interview with Gamereactor that FIFA 18 is indeed the version coming to the Switch.
Additionally, he revealed that the version coming to Switch is not a port of last-gen versions, but is indeed built from the ground up for Nintendo’s unique new console. Finally, it was hinted to be releasing alongside the other versions of FIFA 18, meaning we could potentially see EA’s iconic franchise on the Switch as soon as September.
