Nintendo hosted a “Nindies” event this morning, showcasing many of the independent titles heading to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
A lot of independent developers such as tinyBuild and Playtonic Games made an appearance throughout the presentation, revealing that their titles are coming to the Nintendo Switch, with exclusive content to boot. We accumulated the entire list of announcements for your reading pleasure:
Stardew Valley: Previously released on other platforms, Stardew Valley will make an appearance on the Nintendo Switch, and will become the first platform to introduce the game’s new multiplayer mode. Releases in 2017.
Wargroove: Not a lot is known about Wargroove, besides the fact that it will be a new strategy game launching “later this year” for the Nintendo Switch.
Pocket Rumble: 2D-Pixelated fighting comes to the Nintendo Switch shortly after the console’s release, with no exact release date set in stone.
Shakedown: Hawaii: Spiritual Successor to Rampage Showdown will release first for the Nintendo Switch this April.
Tumbleseed: This title is releasing as a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch in Spring.
Mr. Shifty: tinyBuild’s Mr.Shifty is releasing on Steam and the Nintendo Switch in April. The game is currently in open beta.
Graceful Explosion Machine: The colorful twin-stick shooter debuts on the Nintendo Switch in April before releasing on other unannounced platforms.
Flipping Death: Produced by Zoink Games, this unique title comes to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Blaster Master Zero:Â Releasing exclusively on March 9th for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS.
Runner 3: As a sequel to the long-running (No pun intended) game BIT.TRIP RUNNER series, Runner 3 makes it’s way to the Nintendo Switch
Kingdom Two Crowns: Releases for the Nintendo Switch in 2017 and will support a new local co-operative mode.
Dandara: Developed by Long Hat House, Dandara is releasing for the Nintendo Switch this summer.
GoNNER:Â Raw Fury Games is releasing GoNNER first on the Nintendo Switch, and with bonus exclusive content.
The Escapists 2: Support up to 4-player local multiplayer, The Escapists 2 arrives on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Overcooked!: Releasing in 2017, the game will support local multiplayer and include the HD rumble feature.
SteamWorld Dig 2: World Premiere trailer was shown featuring a new robot protagonist. Releasing Summer 2017.
Yooka-Laylee: Playtonic Games’ new 3D-Platformer is coming to the Nintendo Switch, with multiplayer support included. No release date was given other than “later this year.”
That is a total of 17 newly announced titles coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. These titles join other independent titles such as Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Jackbox Party Pack 3, and Rogue Trooper Redux 3 to release for the console in 2017.
