Psyonix’s Rocket League might make its way to the Nintendo Switch if there is enough demand for it.
In speaking with IGN, Psyonix’s Vice President Jeremy Dunham mentioned that they might bring Rocket League to the Nintendo Switch if certain conditions were met. “Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are,” Jeremy said in the interview. “We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would.”
The game was released in 2015for the Playstation 4 and PC, later being released for the Xbox One in early 2016. Psyonix spoke about supporting cross-network play at one point, but due to issues with servers connecting the Xbox One to Playstation 4 gamers, this dream has yet to be a reality.
