The New Nintendo 2DS XL was just announced and Square Enix didn’t take any time to announce their special edition twist.
In addition to the limited edition 1 TB Playstation 4 console, a special edition New Nintendo 2DS XL is releasing alongside the game on July 29th in Japan. There is no word on if the New Nintendo 2DS XL will make its way overseas, but we have contact Nintendo and Square Enix representatives for more information.
The New Nintendo 2DS XL Dragon Quest XI Special Edition (That’s a mouthful) handheld includes a copy of Dragon Quest XI, the special edition New Nintendo 2DS XL, and a unique Dragon Quest XI system menu theme. The handheld will retail for 22,480 yen (roughly $199.99 USD), but fans in the west may be hard-pressed to import it if it doesn’t make its way to North America.
