Nintendo announced their post-launch downloadable content plans for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, arriving next month for the Nintendo 3DS system family.
A total of five downloadable packs is planned to launch between now and the end of the year. The first downloadable pack will launch alongside the game on May 19th titled the Fledgling Warriors Pack. This is promised to be “Ideal for early- to mid-game adventurers” as it provides access to a new in-game dungeon and two new maps to explore.
The Undaunted Heroes and Lost Altars packs will release on May 25th, both with different content. While Undaunted Heroes is similar in style to the Fledgling Warriors Pack, including a new dungeon and two maps, the Lost Altars pack will grant access to mysterious dungeons that have the power to upgrade your characters. These maps, dungeons, and powers are not obtainable through the main game, so these Packs must be acquired to enjoy the features.
The fourth pack titled Rise of the Deliverance will arrive on June 1st. This pack features a story expansion, explaining the history of Valentia before the start of the game. Complete with a bundle of maps, voice-acted conversations, and playable characters that aren’t obtainable in the base game.
With the content, comes the announcement of the game’s Season Pass which retails for $63.59 CDN. The pass includes all of the downloadable content planned for the life of the game and offers a discount of nearly 30% off when compared to purchasing the downloadable content separately. Of course, those interested in just a couple of the downloadable packs can purchase them separately if they wish.
Fans are reminded that the Alm and Celica amiibo figures will launch alongside the game on May 19th. While the bundle for the game will run for a suggested retail price of $79.99, they may be available in short quantity, as exhibited by Amazon.
