Two new versions of Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17th.
Titled Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, both versions will offer alternative story lines set in the same world as the original games. The Pokemon Company also announced that new Pokemon will become available with the release of Pokemon Ultra Sun & Pokemon Ultra Moon.
It is unclear at this time if the new content will be released as an expansion and/or if they will become available as a standalone SKU. We are awaiting details from Nintendo for the specifics and will update you as we hear more information.
One of the more anticipated rumors, Pokemon Stars, has not made an appearance during the Nintendo Direct. This version of the game was said to expand the game’s story and potentially see a release on the Nintendo Switch. While this rumor turned out to be false, Nintendo did announce that they are bringing Pokken Tournament DX to the Nintendo Switch on September 22nd. You can read more about that announcement here.
