Nintendo is coming to PAX West 2017, with the company preparing for a “special” panel during the event.
According to the official PAX West 2017 schedule posted this morning, Nintendo will be presenting a panel available for any PAX West attendees this year. At the time of this writing, it is not yet known what Nintendo will be talking about or showing during the panel, but some fans have speculated that Nintendo may be there to show off some new games.
This is the first time that Nintendo has officially participated in a panel event at PAX. In past years, Nintendo brought a lineup of titles, with a highlight being their independent “Nindies” program, highlighting titles like Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Runbow, and even Team17’s Yooka-Laylee.
It is hard to say exactly what Nintendo will show off while at PAX West, but it seems probable that they would talk about their independent scene, as they have done in the past with other events. During E3, Nintendo’s big focus was on their upcoming titles for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, including Ever Oasis, Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Super Mario Odyssey.
PAX West 2017 attendees can take a look at the panel themselves on Saturday, September 2nd at 10:00 AM at the Hydra Theatre. If you are going to PAX West 2017, are you planning on visiting the Nintendo panel? Let us know in the comments below!
