Nintendo has opened the doors to Android fans this morning, allowing users to pre-register their interest for the ever-so-popular mobile Mario game.
Announced via Twitter, fans can now pre-register for Super Mario Run, enabling users to download the game once it is officially released. People who wish to pre-register their interest can do so here. Unfortunately, there is no release window at this time for Android users, but we suspect within the next couple of months that the game would become available.
It appears that there won’t be differences between the iOS and Android version, as the first three levels will be available for free, while the rest of the content will run for a small fee. Nintendo states: “You will be able to download and enjoy a portion of Super Mario Run for free and can also enjoy all of the game content available after paying a set purchase price.”Â
The game has done well on iOS devices, despite its high price point of $9.99 USD. According to Nintendo, Super Mario Run had had over 50 million downloads (for the free version) since it’s release earlier this month.
Super Mario Run is currently available on iOS devices.
