After years of struggling with third party support, Nintendo has broken some new ground with EA’s announcement of a FIFA title for the Switch at yesterday’s Nintendo Switch conference.
The vast majority of details are as of yet unknown, however considering the Switch’s focus on social gaming, portability, and old-fashioned couch gameplay, the announcement of such a high profile sports game could be a system seller for many who enjoy these types of games with their friends and family at parties and gatherings.
It also perhaps displays some hope for console rich with the third party support the previous one lacked, as many companies such as EA previously avoided the Wii U because of hardware issues and a low install base.
FIFA does not currently have a final title or release date.
