Nintendo announced a new game during the Fire Emblem Direct this afternoon titled Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
The game is inspired by the 1992 release of Fire Emblem Gaiden. As a game that only sold in Japan during its time, the game has not seen any form of liberation until today.
Last week, Nintendo showed off their new gaming platform: the Nintendo Switch. Most of the console’s software was announced during this time, including Fire Emblem Warriors, a brand new entry in the franchise.
Additionally, Nintendo announced that two amiibo figures featuring the in-game protagonists Alm and Celica will release alongside the game in May. Details regarding their functionality will be announced at a later date.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia releases exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on May 19th, 2017.
