Yoshinori Ono, Executive Producer of the Street Fighter series, may have revealed at a potential project in his future.
In an interview with StreetPass UK, the discussion focused around Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Being a heavy topic of discussion, Yoshinori Ono spoke about his time working with Masahiro Sakurai and revealed that he would like to see a game like Nintendo vs. Capcom make an appearance.
“I think it takes a lot of work to get a character from a different series to work in another one. so you know Mr. Sakurai did a lot of work getting, for example Ryu to fit in with the Smash Brothers Characters.” Yoshinori Ono stated, “I almost wouldn’t wanna pick one and just go with just Street Fighter. I’d rather see something like Nintendo vs. Capcom be made as it make it specifically designed to work with those characters as well.”
While this is no indication that a game is currently in the works, it is nice to see what Yoshinori is thinking about during his off time. Perhaps a hint at things to come?
