Nintendo’s latest entry in their kart racing series, Mario Kart 8, allowed players to share and view each other’s race replays through the Mario Kart TV Website. Nintendo has now decided to cease support for this online portal, announcing that it will be closing officially on April 4th.
The website’s new banner states “The Mario Kart TV website, which lets you watch highlight videos posted from Mario Kart 8, will be closing down as of 11:00 PM PT on Monday, April 4th 2016. We are very thankful to the many people who have used this website since it launched in 2014.”
Fortunately for those who love to share their time trials, exciting races, and fun moments, Mario Kart 8 will continue to support currently-uploaded YouTube videos, along with ingame highlight uploads.
