Announced at this past E3, Nintendo of Japan has announced some information regarding the new iteration of the Mario & Luigi series, Paper Jam, including its release day.
Set to be released on December 3rd in Japan, we have also learned that the game will support some amiibo figurines. The figurines, when placed on the 3DS or the 3DS Amiibo Reader, will give special cards for use in battle. The Amiibos that will be supported are:

Yoshi (Super Smash Bros. series)
Luigi (Super Smash Bros. series)

Along with this information, the Japanese box art for the game was shown, granted being very low resolution.
