Mario is teaming up with friends in an all-new sports collection game, Mario Sports Superstars.
Since the release of Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System, Mario has been involved with an assortment of activities, such as racing a kart, having a party, and playing hockey. In Mario Sports Superstars, Popular returning sports from past games like Soccer, Tennis, Golf, and Baseball will make an appearance, along with a whole new sport, Horse Riding.
The game will release alongside specific amiibo cards, which are used in the game to unlock various bonuses. Nintendo will retail these in blind packs of five, with one included with the purchase of the physical game. There is no information regarding how many different cards are available at launch, but we reached out to Nintendo for further clarification.
Mario Sports Superstars releases on March 24th, 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS.
