Originally teased in a short trailer only depicting a silhouette of a new Pokémon, a full page of Corocoro magazine was revealed shortly after giving us a brand new Pokémon: Magiana Only a a short while later, the Pokemon USA website updated, revealing the Pokemon’s English name to be Magearna.This reveal coincides with the reveal of the new Pokémon movie: Volcanion And The Ingenious Magiana set to release in Japan (and the rest of the world) sometime later this year.
Magearna, the Artificial Pokemon was sealed away in an ancient clockwork kingdom for five-hundred years. The Pokemon website teases it as the “Ultimate Invention”, but what exactly gives it this status is unknown, aside from speculation that its curiously-shaped bottom half is linked to the Pokeball. Man-made object based Pokémon have not been all around well received by the community but after a long drought in Pokemon content, this news is more than welcome to most fans. No details such as type, stats or abilities have been released, and it is also unclear if this Pokémon is current generation, or a teaser for a potential Gen 7.
