We previously reported on the announcement of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, the second Dead or Alive game to launch on next-generation platforms since the multiplatform release of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.
In hopes that the game would launch in North America, the official Facebook page (Via Niche Gamer)revealed that “We do not bring DOAX3 to the west and won’t have any plan change in the future. Thank you for asking.” when asked if it would be launching in North America.
After further backlash from their fans via Facebook, Team Ninja responded with the following remark:
“Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.”
This confirms that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will be exclusive to Japan and will never launch overseas, even with a earlier comment from the team that mentioned they plan to bring the game overseas if it gains enough interest.
