Nintendo and Hi-Rez Studios officially announced that Paladins: Champions of the Realm is coming to the Nintendo Switch very soon.
Arriving June 12th, the morning of Nintendo’s E3 Livestream, Paladins will launch in early access for the Nintendo Switch. The game will ship with cross-platform play, presumably with players enjoying the game on the Xbox One. Paladins will also feature 60 frames-per-second gameplay and the complete multiplayer package as on other platforms.
Earlier in the month, we reported on a leak that showed several titles playable at E3 next week. Paladins, along with Epic Games Fortnite, Bandai’s Dragonball FighterZ, and a sequel to Overcooked were all shown in the leak. After the leak got out, a user on Reddit found images of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers in the game’s files, adding more evidence that the game was in development for Nintendo’s hardware.
With the confirmation of Paladins coming to the Nintendo Switch, the leak shows some validity for Nintendo’s upcoming third-party titles. We should hear more about these titles during Nintendo’s Live E3 Presentation on June 12th at 9 AM PT.
