Sony has announced that the Playstation VR will launch in October 2016.
President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, Andrew House, announced at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco that the Playstation VR would be available this October for a MSRP of $399.99 USD (Will be priced at $549.99 Canadian). This makes Sony’s Virtual Reality headset one of the most affordable options on the market with the Oculus Rift currently retailing for $599.99 USD and Valve’s HTC Vive retailing at $799.99 USD.
Playstation VR will have over fifty compatible games by the end of the year, including The Playroom VR, a game which will be free with the purchase of the headset.
