The long awaited Pokemon Ditto is ready to be captured in Niantic Labs’ Pokemon GO.
It appears that Ditto takes the form of the game’s low-level Pokemon, such as Rattata, Pidgey, and Zubat. At the time of this writing, no formal announcement was regarding Ditto’s existence. However, multiple reports have been indicating that Ditto is now in the game.
According to the reports, Ditto will not appear until captured, as it will take the shape of another Pokemon. Once caught, the player will receive the message “Oh?” similar to when an egg is hatched. After this, the Pokemon will transform back into its original form, Ditto. Right now, there appears to be no indication of whether or not the Pokemon is Ditto other than catching it first.
Other Pokemon, such as Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Mewtwo, and Mew have yet to be included in the game, despite some users capturing the legendary birds through non-legitimate means. Informed Pixel has reached out to Niantic Labs representatives for more information regarding Ditto’s inclusion.
