Niantic Labs has announced that sign-ups are now open for an upcoming field test of Pokemon GO in the United States, New Zealand and Austrailia.
People wishing to participate in the Pokemon GO field test will need to reside in the United States, New Zealand or Austrailia. Unfortunately, those living on Canadian soil will be ineligible to participate. Future Pokemon trainers wishing to sign-up for the field test and be among the first people to play Pokemon GO can head to the official website here.
Users with Apple devices will need to have an iPhone 5 or greater running on iOS 8 or higher. Android users will need to be running the 4.3 firmware or above, although any Android devices running on Intel’s Atom-based chips are not compatible with Pokemon GO.
Pokemon GO is scheduled to launch worldwide later this year.
