Lara Croft will be making her return to the Playstation with the Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration.
This edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider will include all of the game’s downloadable content, including a new story expansion called Blood Ties. Not only will the expansion ship with new challenges surrounding the Croft Manor, but it will also include Playstation VR support. According to the official Playstation Blog, Blood Ties will be the only expansion which supports the Playstation VR.
“When we were planning the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, our very first imperative was to outdo anything we’d done before, such as our definitive editions. A mere “Game of the Year” wouldn’t satisfy us, or our fans.” Said Scot Amos, Co-head of Crystal Dynamics. “We knew that our PlayStation community both deserved and demanded more than that. So we’re working with our long-time partner Nixxes Software to make this version truly special.”
The 20 Year Celebration Edition will be receiving Endurance Mode, a new online co-op experience. This survival mode puts two friends to the test as they raid tombs and fight to survive.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will be released on October 11th.
