Update March 25th, 2016 – As it turns out, this rumor has been confirmed to be fake.
A Reddit user by the name of Perkele37 may have some clear pictures on what the controller for Nintendo’s next console may look like.
From what we can observe, here are the specific specifications of the new Nintendo NX controller:
- 3.5mm Headphone Jack located on the bottom of the controller
- Full-front LED display featuring two thumbsticks on both sides
- Front-facing camera
- What appears to be two shoulder buttons that act like the scroll wheels as found in traditional computer mice.
Furthermore, the person who posted these images may be from the development studio, Massive Entertainment, who was responsible for developing games such as Far Cry 3, Tom Clancy’s The Division and World in Conflict. Combining the picture of the tree and the Swedish keyboard shown in the picture below, Reddit users have distinguished that this picture may have been taken from within the studio itself.
