Sign-ups for Nintendo Accounts are now open so you best go reserve your username while you still can.
Announced late October, Nintendo this new program which will bridge the gap between Console, Mobile and PC devices to create a unified experience. The first use of these Nintendo Accounts will come from Miitomo, a new social media application for smartphones scheduled to launch next month.
The spiritual successor to Club Nintendo called My Nintendo is also set to launch next March which will also utilize the Nintendo Accounts. Those who pre-register for an account will even net themselves a platinum point, something that may score you some free merchandise when the program launches.
