Despite EA’s constant insistence that Space Battles would not be included in the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, a new game mode has been revealed today: Fighter Squadron.
We haven’t seen much of this new mode, except a few brief seconds posted on their twitter, but it showcases large-scale spaceship battles, not unlike the original Battlefront and Battlefront II’s Space Battle segments.
For those who loved those parts of the originals, this is fantastic news, as the lack of epic space warfare was a very prominent complaint with Dice’s latest entry in the Battlefront series.
With Star Wars: Battlefront’s November release date quickly approaching, we should be seeing even more new information, game modes, and more fairly soon, so those eagerly anticipating it should keep their eyes peeled over the next couple of months.
