The game has only been out for a week, but Super Mario Run has exceeded 37 Million downloads, proving to be another successful mobile title for Nintendo.
With stats provided by AppAnnie, Super Mario Run has been downloaded 37,256,946 times, with 11 Million of those downloads coming from the United States alone. An important thing to note is that these stats do not reflect sometimes the game has been purchased, which is likely to be considerable lower.
In the UK, Super Mario Run was downloaded nearly 2 Million times, making up for 5% of all game downloads between December 15th to December 17th.
Nintendo has remained successful in the mobile market, with applications like Pokemon GO and Miitomo becoming some of the most downloaded apps ever in record time. Albeit, Super Mario Run has not made the same success, especially with the app only containing the first three levels for those who download the free version. The full version, priced at $13.99 Canadian, is a higher than normal price to pay for iOS apps, with some users taking to the game’s review page to vent their frustration.
Super Mario Run is available for iOS devices.
