Hello everyone, and welcome to Entry Level Games. If you’re a first-time reader here, then welcome. We’re a geek culture site that covers gaming news, VTubers and more.
Another thing we like to do is Q&As with folks all across the gaming industry, from CEOs to Voice Actors. We’ve also done Q&As with VTubers before too. In this Q&A, we’ll be talking to a Vtuber named Blushiefae, who recently debuted with Veisou Vtuber Group. We had the opportunity to ask Blushiefae a few questions, along with having a general chat and getting to know them better.
Questions and Answers
Question: What made you get into Vtubing?
“I am passionate about acting, theatre and film! It’s why I started doing content creation years ago. I also really love video games.
I decided that becoming a Vtuber would utilize all of my acting skills and allow me to use my creativity to make my own character.”
Question: How did you create your look and brand?
“You mean, why did I choose to be a pink dragon? I like the colour pink. I love cheeseburgers, gaming, and fantasy genre stuff, such as Lord of the Rings. I also like the character concepts that are in Fire Emblem and Sword Art Online so I went with a fantasy themed outfit.
I narrowed it down to either a dragon or a Red Panda since I really like Red Pandas too. It’s why I have a fluffy ear toggle. Fun fact, they are actually Red Panda shaped, not cat ear shaped. I went with a dragon though because I wanted the cute tail!”
Question: What is one activity you’d like to do on stream that you haven’t done yet?
“I would love to do a cooking stream soon! I also would like to have a 3D model someday so I can do music videos and dance, VRChat hangouts and maybe do an IRL traveling stream someday.”
Question: What inspires you in the Vtuber community?
“Seeing other Vtubers be successful in their dreams and passions fuels me with inspiration to keep trying my best! I have a handful of Vtubers I look up to and they inspire me to keep learning and growing. There’s a ton of positivity in the Vtuber community.”
Question: Who is your favourite Vtuber right now and why?
“My favorite Vtubers to watch right now are Hiro Konoki, and Saruei.
I like watching Hiro because every time I go to his stream I am laughing along with him and his chat. He really tries his hardest to respond to all the messages in his chat. I also enjoy that he does little skits live on stream from time to time where he does photoshop memes on the spot. He’s made a couple of me, like Blushie as a bush from Overwatch’s prop hunt game mode and he made a Blushie version of Fanta soda.
I enjoy Saruei because I absolutely love her art style! She also has a sort of bratty, tsundere, and sometimes shy vibe that I can relate to as a Vtuber. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, speak up for herself, and she works really hard.”
Question: What’s the most memorable moment you’ve had so far as a Vtuber?
“The most memorable moment I’ve had so far as a Vtuber would be when I got my first fan art. It really warmed by heart. Someone gifted me their time and craft in the form of a fan art piece of Blushie, and it was just the sweetest thing ever!”
Question: What is your Vtuber career goal?
“My career goal is to become a full time content creator! I also would love to release an album of original songs and potentially collab with other Vtubers on the album.”
Question: What advice would you give to those wanting to become a Vtuber?
“The advice I would give to inspiring Vtubers is to first figure out if you would like to be a Vtuber as a hobby, or if you are going to be more serious about it and make a career. Taking your time in the beginning to fully decide your brand and niche are really important to be successful.
If you want to be a Vtuber just for a fun hobby, then just enjoy your time, hangout and make friends. If you are looking to make it a career, do your research first! It takes a ton of blood sweat and tears!
Everyday I am watching tutorial videos on YouTube, learning from other Vtubers in the community, and working hard to improve. It’s a constant learning process and requires dedication!
Do your best!”
