Hello everyone, and welcome to Entry Level Games. If you’re a first-time reader here, then welcome. We’re a geek culture site that covers gaming news, VTubers and more.
Another thing we like to do is Q&As with folks all across the gaming industry, from CEOs to Voice Actors. We’ve also done Q&As with VTubers before too. In this Q&A, we’ll be talking to a Vtuber named Miin Myuu, who recently debuted with Veisou Vtuber Group. We had the opportunity to ask Miin a few questions, along with having a general chat and getting to know them better.
If you’d like to listen to the audio version, you can check it out underneath this paragraph. Please be advised the audio version has mature language. If you’d prefer a shorter but still detailed written version, you can find it down below.
Questions and Answers
Question: What made you get into Vtubing?
“A few years ago in 2019, I was scrolling through Twitch, and I came across someone using a Vtuber model. It’s a close friend of mine now, Rhythm Angel. They were one of the first introductions to Vtubing.
As I became more active in the chat, and discovered more about becoming a Vtuber, I looked more into it, I looked more into other Vtubers,. and I would watch streamers like KaduNyaa and Ironmouse, and it really brought me into the scene. I was so inspired by all of it, I just began to purse Vtubing myself.”
Question: How did you create your look and brand?
“For anyone knows me, I’m obsessed with the colour pink. I knew I had to incorporate that into my look and brand.
Many people asked where the nurse part came from, and it’s actually from my original design who was also a nurse, so I kept that whole theme, with like needles and blood, that stuff. I just think it really matches the vibe I want to go for. The colours are flirty and extremely pink succubus nurse.”
Question: What is one activity you’d like to do on stream that you haven’t done yet?
“One that I would really love to do is, I want to host a podcast for smaller vtubers. Just to get to know them. Broadcast lesser known streamers, and just become closer to the community. It’s more of a dream project for me. It definately has a lot of work and effort, that I’ll set aside for later on.
Other than that, I would love to do a stream train with other members of Veisou.”
Question: What inspires you in the Vtuber community?
“I think the biggest thing that has inspired me in the Vtuber community, is the sheer amount of support I’ve seen from streamer to streamer. Every day I see people promoting one another, rating one another. It’s a level of kindness I haven’t seen in any other community.
Like support chains, all of that stuff. I get so inspired by how it’s such a loving and close knit community.”
Question: Who is your favourite Vtuber right now and why?
“So, my favourite vtuber right now, and always has been is KaduNyaa. He was one of the first Vtubers I actually subbed to, and am still subbing to till this day. I try to watch all of his streams, because you can just really tell how he cares about content creation, and every person in his streams. It really inspires me to just watch him.”
Question: What is your favourite game?
“So my favourite game of all time is Stardew Valley. It’s more popular and well known, but I just have a disgusting amount of hours on my switch, phone and computer. I have it on all 3 and constantly playing. It’s kind of like an addiction at this point. I can go days farming, mining, fishing, before realizing I haven’t eaten in a while.”
Question: What is your Vtuber career goal?
“I think my overall goal with Vtubing, it’s gonna be a basic answer, it’s to make others happy. It’s a cheesy response, but I remember first joining the streams, and seeing how the chat and communities were so close together.
I just want to be able to give others the same experience I had when I first got into the scene. I want to feel like my content is something they can come to after a long day and just relax and feel happy.”
Question: What advice would you give to those wanting to become a Vtuber?
“I think my advise is to smart small. Everyone has been focused on expensive models and getting all the bells and whistles that come with streaming, but when I first started out, I used a PNG that I drew myself with 3D overlays and stuff.
There’s such a focus on high quality, when in reality I got most of my loyal friends and followers when I had a completely free setup. I’d say just focus on making content you think you’d enjoy as well.”
