If you haven’t placed a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch, but need to pick one up on March 3rd, we have information that may be of interest.
First and foremost, Amazon.ca announced that they would have additional stock starting on March 3rd, at 3 AM ET/12 AM PT. Quantities are limited, so it is recommended to check at midnight for your chance to purchase one. Amazon Canada states “Amazon.ca will have Nintendo Switch Consoles available for purchase on Friday, March 3 at 12:00 AM (PST). Please note that quantities of the Nintendo Switch are limited and are likely to sell out fast! Continue to check back in at Amazon.ca for all the latest in Nintendo Switch games and accessories.”
Failing Amazon, Walmart Canada is not set up to take pre-orders for most product, meaning the Nintendo Switch should be available in mass quantities throughout the country. It is best to call your local Walmart store to see if they are participating in a midnight opening, or if they will have stock the morning of.
If all else fails, we know that EBGames Canada will have an inventory of the Nintendo Switch on March 3rd, for walk-in customers. Our sources indicate that they will have a minimum of five Nintendo Switch consoles per store, meaning stock levels will vary depending on store volume.
Hopefully, those who weren’t lucky enough to snag a pre-order will be able to pick up a Nintendo Switch console this Friday. If not, more Nintendo Switch consoles should be arriving the following weeks.
The Nintendo Switch releases on March 3rd, 2017.
